About The Practice

Lanier Counseling Services has been in operation since 1985. We offer practical, interactive, solution-focused assistance. Our approach is to provide support and usable information to help clients resolve current situations and patterns that may be causing problems. We incorporate a blend of conventional and innovative approaches aimed specifically at providing rapid relief and sustainable improvements. How well these things work will depend on how hard you work. You will not get judged, discounted, or preached at. The services you receive at Lanier Counseling, and the concerns you bring, will remain confidential unless you decide to release that information to another party (like an insurance company). We are very goal oriented and see our role as assisting you to achieve those goals through understanding, education, coaching, and our many years of training and first-hand experience. With sensitivity and compassion, we will strive to build on strengths to achieve the goals you provide us. Special Note: In regard to marital/couples counseling, if you really want to work on resolving difficulties in your relationship, or just want a tune-up, please allow us to be of assistance. If you are seeking marital/couples counseling just to say you “tried everything” before a divorce, or if the agenda is to somehow use this in your behalf for a divorce hearing, seriously please contact another provider.
